LNG Bunkering
Service Overview
We offer LNG Bunkering to LNG-fueled vessels at ports of our customers’ choice within an approximately 200 km radius of Hibiki LNG Terminal. Our bunkering service that supports the TTS (Truck to Ship) system enables a safe and efficient supply of LNG fuel directly from LNG tank trucks to ships.
By helping customers switch their vessels’ fuel from petroleum-based fuels to LNG, we contribute to decarbonization. This is why the number of LNG-fueled vessels built is increasing rapidly worldwide. Saibu Gas is promoting low-carbon and decarbonization initiatives by 2030, aiming at achieving carbon neutrality by 2050.
Strengths of Our LNG Bunkering
Our LNG Bunkering uses the TTS (Truck to Ship) method.
Our TTS-based bunkering service ensures prompt, flexible, and smooth support for the LNG Bunkering needs of various vessels and ports through the following features.

Flexible supply system based on TTS method
Because LNG can be supplied directly from LNG tank trucks, dedicated LNG storage tanks and other large-scale facilities are not required.
Even when a vessel is berthed away from our terminal, we can deliver LNG fuel to any customer-designated port or pier within an approximately 200 km radius of the Hibiki LNG Terminal.

One of the largest LNG tank truck fleets in Japan
We own and operate more than 70 LNG tank trucks and have supplied between 100 and 500 tons of LNG at one time. We are able to respond flexibly to customers’ requested delivery dates, times, and volumes.
In addition, the introduction of a movable skid enables simultaneous supply of LNG by four LNG tank trucks.
For example, approximately 160 tons (equivalent to 12 LNG tank trucks) can be supplied in 4 to 5 hours. This enables us to offer quick and efficient services even when supply times are limited, such as on large cruise ships.

Safe and smooth integrated services
We use facilities that comply with international standards such as ISO and European Standards, contributing to safe operations.
In addition, Saibu Gas was the first in Japan to introduce an LNG Bunkering that utilizes ISO tank containers with large capacity and excellent cooling performance. This enables us to provide a stable and efficient fuel supply throughout the year.
Furthermore, our one-stop service, including port procedures, enables smooth LNG Bunkering.
Operational Achievements
Since the start of our LNG Bunkering service in 2023,
we have built an extensive track record of LNG bunkering at major ports in western Japan.

LNG bunkering track record for a wide range of vessel types
Our LNG Bunkering service has mainly been provided to newbuild and repaired vessels, but we began offering the service to cruise ships in September 2025, starting with ASUKA III.

We also have a track record of providing bunkering services to bulk carriers and RoRo vessels.
Track record in comprehensive LNG Bunkering
We have a proven track record in providing a comprehensive LNG Bunkering, including a Gassing-Up/Cool-Down (GUCD) service for newbuild and repaired vessels.
The use of ISO tank containers improves bunkering efficiency while reducing labor requirements. Saibu Gas has a system that enables continuous work throughout the night, which can significantly shorten the construction and repair schedules for vessels.
